Famous for its appearance in major Hollywood films such as James Bond Licence to Kill, 2 Fast 2 Furious, True Lies, and Mission Impossible III, the original Seven Mile Bridge was constructed from 1909 to 1912 under the direction of Henry Flagler and Clarence S. Coe. Two bridges remain in this location - the modern bridge is open to vehicular traffic, and the older bridge to pedestrians and cyclists only.

The Turtle Hospital has been helping to rehabilitate and release injured sea turtles back into their natural surroundings since 1986. The hospital strives to teach the public what it means to care for these special creatures and provides a 90 minute educational experience and behind the scenes look at their facilities. At the end of each program guests are invited to feed the permanent residents.
